Disabled Persons Railcard

The Disabled Persons Railcard is for people with a disability that makes travelling by train difficult. You will qualify if you meet one of the following criteria, but please contact us if you would like to discuss your individual circumstances.

Please allow up to 5 working days for your Railcard application to be approved and if you choose a plastic card, 5 working days for your Railcard to be delivered.

  • receive Personal Independence Payments (PIP)
  • receive Disability Living Allowance (DLA) at either:
     - the higher or lower rate for the mobility component, or
     - the higher or middle rate for the care component
  • have a visual impairment
  • have a hearing impairment
  • have epilepsy
  • receive Attendance Allowance or Severe Disablement Allowance
  • receive War Pensioner's Mobility Supplement
  • receive War or Service Disablement Pension for 80% or more disability
  • buy or lease a vehicle through the Motability scheme

We offer both digital and plastic versions of this Railcard type. Digital Railcards are managed using an app on your phone, whereas plastic Railcards are printed and sent to you in the post.
Please note, if you are looking to order a Railcard to be sent out to you by post, Storm Babet may impact delivery times as our distribution team is based in Scotland. Alternatively you can choose to get your Railcard digitally and download to your phone.

Who is the Railcard being purchased for?
You are able to purchase this Railcard for yourself or on behalf of somebody else. If you are purchasing on behalf of somebody else, you will need a valid email address for them.
For customers aged 5-15 years, a parent or guardian must complete the application by selecting the 'Somebody else' option below.
